The Islamic Online University courses, structured as 3 credit hour courses, consists of recorded lectures by instructor and recorded supplementary sessions by faculty members. A student will earn 3 credit hours per successful completion of a course.
- BA / BSc / BEd Degree Course Credit Requirement
To obtain a BA/BEd/BSc/BBA degree, a student needs to complete the required courses including the BA/BEd /BSc/BBA thesis.

This track consists of 48 courses. Students who have been granted a waiver for Arabic, English or Computer will have to take one or more courses (equal to the number of courses waived) offered as “Waiver Replacement Courses” in order to complete the required 48 courses or 144 credit hours of academic courses.
- 2-year Associate Degree Program Course Credit Requirement
To obtain a 2-year accredited Associate Degree, a student needs to complete a total of 24 courses or 72 credit hours of academic courses.
